Our New CyberHome
So here it is, our new blog. A work in progress and only a temporary home for us until we can get our real website designed. Until then though, follow us here!
Also, notice two new elements to our blog:
1) Our Twitter feed on the sidebar! During our survey this summer we will be using text messaging to update this regularly. So you, from thousands of miles away, will be able to hear bits and pieces of what we’re doing and learning as we travel down dusty roads and through remote villages; and we won’t even have to find electricity or an internet cafe, and you won’t even have to be on Twitter! So watch the sidebar, and if you do have a twitter account follow us there as well!
2) Our Platial map below! We’re still experimenting with this feature and hope to have a much better version on our own website, but here you can (without even leaving our blog) see a map of where we’ll be temporarily traveling this summer and permanently moving next year. Just click on the + sing above the map to make it fully active where you can change to satellite imagery and zoom in and out. Soon we hope to tag some significant locations on the map so you’ll have a better idea of what you’re looking at and of what to zoom into.
So that’s it for now. We’ll keep you posted. And remember, to find us you don’t have to type our whole WordPress blog address, instead just go to makondeteam.com.
