The Makonde Team has been blessed with a strong supporting congregation which has agreed to fund almost 60% of the cost of the work, as well as with many other generous and committed partners. We are so grateful to God for all of these who have joined hands with us.
However, our funds are not yet fully raised, and we’re continually looking for those whom God is leading to partner with us in this effort. If you are interested in partnering with us through a financial commitment, there are several ways to donate.
For more regular donations, like if you wish to donate monthly, bimonthly, or yearly, the best way to do this would probably be to set up monthly “bill pay” through your own bank’s online banking system. There should be no fee for this, and this way your bank will take care of sending the check for you every month or year (as designated), and you won’t have to worry about forgetting. If you set yourself up for this, or if you just manually send the checks yourself, checks should be sent to:

Another option for setting up regular automatic donations is through the Downtown Church’s website: www.downtownchurch.org, however there is a very small fee for this (charged by the website facilitating the transactions). If you choose this option, at the far right of Downtown’s website, under the “Resources” tab, choose “Online Giving.” This will take you to a form where, after registering, you can set up monthly contributions designated to “Missions” and then to the right be sure to designate it for “Makonde Team,” plus even more specifically than that if so desired (as on the memo above).
